Mission Mangal Goes Tax-Free; Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan Starrer Gets Relief In Maharashtra

With over Rs 150 Crore in its kitty, the film is doing wonders for the makers of the film. Jagan Shakti's Mission Mangal has reached sky high, in fact beyond that. The film made quite some noise before hitting the big screens and now 2 weeks post its release, the box-office collections say it all. Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer not only made a successful mission on Mangal but also at the box-office and that made the film tax free in Maharashtra. The film currently has collected Rs. 164.61 crores at the domestic markets and is now aiming the big 200 crore club. Despite locking horns with John Abraham and Mrunal Thakur's Batla House which earned Rs. 83.78 crore at the Indian markets, Mission Mangal has stayed strong in business.
As the film is basking in appreciation from everywhere, Amul recently shared a new rendition picture feat, Mission Mangal. Taking to Twitter, Taapsee Pannu shared the photo, tweeting, "How cool !!!!! These are always very very special! Thank you, Amul! P.S- Next time I will add that hairband to my look #MissionMangal #MissionAccomplished #MissionMakhan" Mission Mangal gave Akshay Kumar his biggest opening ever for any film he has done till date. Now that the film is tax-free, it is only going to benefit the film and more and more people will be willing to go and watch it.
Speaking on the success of the film, Taapsee spoke to Pinvilla and reacted on media calling the film an Akshay Kumar film. She said, "‘we can also boast and say that we women together gave Akshay sir his biggest opener."

Mission Mangal is a true story based on a group os dedicated scientist from ISRO that successfully launched The Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), also called Mangalyaan in September 2014 that orbits Mars.
